No, I was a ST holder at The Goldstone, Gillingham and Withdean, and my fan number starts with a 7.

I must be a bad fan.

I was a season ticket holder at the Hove Cricket Ground and Surrenden Field and my ticket is paper and is punched with holes. I also have scurvy and smell of dung.

Does anyone here really think that the club under Stanley, Archer and Bellotti handed over any data that was stored accurately? I really would not start waving your willies over what number is at the start of your season ticket account.

(Apologies to those with no willy)

Are the 7000xxxx 1901 members?

I'm 5000xxxx and Withdean STH for 8 years

Mine starts with a 7 and I've never been a STH !! [very, very bad fan, I know]

If the database is designed to keep things simple and maintain integrity, it will just issue a new incremental number to the next person to subscribe / join.
Other columns (fields) can be added into the database design to identify any other member-attributes the club deem useful. e.g. STH info, etc.

STH from first Withdean year were allocated 5000.

Fans who became members were allocated 7000 (I can see both friends and Anger Jr match that rule).

Mine starts with a 7.
Been going since the Goldstone but didn't have a season ticket until the Amex.
Not sure if I'm a good or bad fan.

If it helps I worked at the Goldstone through the 95/96 season. My manager was away for a week & the 'ever so slightly above me, due to time' person basically sent me to a cupboard for 3 days, shredding all the STH holders details. It was a simple system, you were sent a letter & you renewed (or not) none of your details were held from the previous season IIRC, there wasn't enough space in the offices. TBH the cow would have sent me to shred Seagulls lottery tickets.
Just to make it completely clear it wasn't S.T. if you were around the ground at that time. She was (is) lovely. (y)

Ah, data-protection of the pre-computerised records era .... aka shred and/or burn
