Facebook are trialling a new setup for the newsfeed in 6 countries.
In essence, users have 2 different feeds:
- Friends
- Pages
This will mean that, for example, all your Albion club stuff won't appear in your main newsfeed.
The caveat is that paid posts from pages WILL appear in your "friends newsfeed" so only those able to promote their content with cold hard cash will be able to maintain any sort of traction within Facebook.
FB won't confirm whether this will trial will be rolled out any further.
Organic reach has gradually reduced within FB anyway, but can still drive a reasonable amount of traffic, even for a site like NSC.
