Not all men are gentlemen, so maybe not all women are ladies

Why are some teams “Ladies” & some teams “Women “ ?

Entirely their choosing, though in my opinion it should be 'Women's' as (as Bulldog states) the male equivalent is 'Men's', not 'Gentlemen's'.
