[Football] FA Cup Quarter Final Draw - At least its not on the One Show

While not wanting to get ahead of ourselves and with fingers crossed that we will be in the draw, it just shows how unimportant the FA Cup is now.

The draw will be taking place on Saturday night exclusively on BT Sport at around 8pm and will also be covered by BBC Radio but not on BBC TV.

But why on earth on a Saturday night.

It can't be long before its follows the League Cup with a 3.30am draw from some far East Asia country

I can honestly remember taking a transistor radio in to school on FA Cup draw days back in the 70's. 12:15 on a Monday
The commentator (Peter Jones?) saying that the FA were ready and we moved in to the room for the draw. It was not on TV so could have been rigged for all we knew.

I've got my youngest into the cup this year. Explained what was going on, what number we are and who we do / don't want to draw. So what do they do? Put it on BT pissing sport so he can't watch it.

Meanwhile, BBC 5Live have just announced the draw for the next round will take place..... slight pause..... erm.... sometime during 606 on Saturday evening.

it's incredible how the final used to be the most important game of the season and now its bettered by a game between two teams which finish between 3 and 6th in the second league....

Very likely that 4 of the top 5 will be in the last 8. Combine that with the fact they put out teams with more regular first teamers than the rest of the Prem and Championship means you haven’t a clue Nige.
