EXTREMELY OT, any of you folks had a 'MIC KEY' fitted.

I'm due to have one fitted next week but have been told that if I don't want it the medical team won't think bad of me.
Quite frankly I'm bricking it and don't like looking at medical forums as they're more depressing than this place after losing in the play offs.

So NSC, anyone had/got one and how does it impact? They've given me a booklet but, quite frankly, it turns my stomach (pun intended).
