I'm in the audience on many "Live" albums. Does that count?

Also made a record with the family on a holiday to Butlins Minehead in 1968. There was a booth like the Photo-Me booths, and you got a 45rpm vinyl single out of it. My sister and I sang "Here we go round the mulberry bush"!

I still have that record!!

Yes indeed. I hit the charts twice in the space of about a month. Cheering on the live B side of the Vapors' 'Turning Japanese' and then cheering even more on the live single that came in the Jam's gatefold version of (I think) 'Going Underground.'

Both recorded at the Rainbow, Finsbury Park. I was at all three gigs there so I know that's me you can hear.

Ive made and had released 2 singles, we where just starting on a 3rd and an Album when the record copany went bust

I think we sold quite literally hundreds of copies :lolol:

the first single got a slating by some fat old c*nt in Melody maker . . .he said we sounded like bloody Ocean Colour scene . . . .none of us have ever been anywhere near Birmingham :lolol:

I wouldnt have minded if I believed he'd actually listened to it.

I must have set some kind of record for being the slowest left winger ever in the REMF game at Southwick ???

I'm on the album from the Mostly Mozart concert series at the Sydney Opera House in about 1982.... my last and final public performance on the piano... I've been a recluse ever since...

One of my best mates is pictured very clearly in the photograph in the inside of the gatefold of the Smiths Best of album from the late 80's (I think Hatful of Hollow) Morrisey had thrown hsi shirt into the crowd at the GMEX centre and Andy is seen jumping over the top of about 15 other folk and grabbing on to his shirt. What a sad bastard.

There is also an LP celebrating 10 years of a club called Pure in Edinburgh. Everyone who went there on the first night became lifetime members and had a passport photo of them taken. The photos can be found on the cover of the LP. God I was shitfaced that night.:drink:

I've made, and indeed still am making records. However the only time I was with a 'proper' record label (RCA) our first single got absolutely panned in one of the record papers (Melody Maker I think). It was in 1981 at the time of New Romantics and we'd released this elecro-poppy thing. The review said: "There are two things in this life that I hate. One is going to the dentist and the other is electronic disco. Take it off, take it off"

I think Harty's got a copy!

Minehead? Why? That's where I have to spend far too much of my time, due to my parents living there now. You'd be better of going to Bognor or Skegness...

It must have been the floral skirt and white sandals that did it - my audience has never been the same......

if my public demands a comeback then maybe I'll consult my agent...

I've produced and played on a single that got to the dizzy heights of 96 in the singles charts, and had a remix done by Norman Cook.

I've also co-written and performed on a couple of Channel 4 TV themes.

And even better I've had my face airbrushed out of a picture on a Roman Holliday single. :lolol:

Hornblower, as some on here know, can win this one hands down...

A couple of years ago at Disney, I played around with a machine that let you record your voice singing a few words and then picking lyrics from a list and selecting a style. I recorded I need a raise of which the following are the lyrics I can remember :-

I've been working all my life,
What have I been working for?
Stroking egos and getting nowhere,
Got the brains to do much more.
I am cheerful and I'm skilled,
Don't raise my voice or make a scene.
So where's my big promotion?
Something's wrong with this routine.
I've been patient long enough,
Prove to me that hard work pays.
Hey ......(<My Voice> Mr Winter) Be a Pal.

I need a raise,
I need a rai-hey-haise.
I need a raise,
I need a rai-hey-haise.

I need a hundred new Cd's,
And a Butler and a maid.
I plan to go to Disneyworld,
Just as soon as I get paid.
I'll buy lunch for the department,
Get my gal a tasty bone.
I'll get rid of my lovehandles.
And make my life my own.
Do I need to call your ma,
To make you change your stingy ways?
Hey .....(<My Voice> Mr Winter) You know you should.

I need a raise,
I need a rai-hey-haise.
I need a raise,
I need a rai-hey-haise.

All song in a Country style. They don't write them like that anymore! :lolol:

Unfortunately, the only copy in the world was in the bag that was stolen from my car at Brentford. I expect to see it at an auction in London for a few thousand in the near future. :clap2:
