Evan getting a real education tonight, but to be fair he's playing alone up top, up against Camavinga, Upamecano and Konate.

He's had very little service, apart from a few high balls into midfield around neck high.

If they could work the ball into him around the box, then maybe he'd have half a chance.

That said, he doesn't look out of place against the world cup finalists.

A good team don’t play a CF on their own against 3 CB’s.

Hughton tried that in the EPL with Muzza. We were shit. In his EPL favoured 9-0-1.

Midfielders must be in close vicinity to give immediate support.

This is no slight on EF.

Agreed, for us he is part of moving the ball around and drops back accordingly.
He's obviously been instructed to just float around the French defence looking for space.

What a pity Connolly didn't have this young mans attitude, application and dedication to his craft. They'd both been given the same opportunities at a similar age, yet their career paths have gone on such wildly different trajectories.
A real shame we couldn't have had both these young irish strikers in our armoury. At least one of them clearly had his head screwed on.
Time to leave Connolly be.
It is what it is and he will have his own regrets.
Plus, we cant all be Evan Ferguson.
Bar one 40-minute period Connolly was never in Ferguson’s class and couldn’t be even if he lived like a monk.

Not sure how much they are now, but I pay £69 a month for phone, broadband and Sky/BT Sports.

Had an unusual call today. I was told to ring retentions to remove ViaPlay for the end of the month and the automated message said sorry to hear about leaving, press 1 to get a £10 discount for the next six months. Waiting for the email confirmation, but I had no intention of leaving, just removing ViaPlay.
I pay the same - but without Sky/BT Sports. I'm leaving as soon as I can get my freeview smart tele installed!

Unlucky not to grab a point in the end.
Good performance. Pity we didn't change sooner and leave Evan on. The chances that came you fancy he might take the one chance he gets.

The interest from bayern Munich in Evan is very real...
Might be the case but just like everyone else, they'll have to wait a year.

If Brighton made some calls to big clubs this summer, Tony could get £60-70m or something (bit depending how the end of this season goes). If he sticks around and scores 15-ish goals in the PL next season as a 19-year-old, he'll be worth £100m+. Tony knows what to do.
