Euro players against the Albion

When we got bored with bemoaning England's departure, my mate and I started musing about how many players in Euro 2004 have played against the Albion, in league games and in cup matches.

We've certainly played against David James in a league match as he dropped the ball for Raphael Meade to score, but we couldn't think of anyone else we've played in the league against.

We've famously played against David Beckham. But how many more? Was Pahars in the Southampton team that we played in the league cup a couple of seasons ago? Anyone else?

I can't remember if they were in the teams or not but what about Kolinko and Dabizas

kolinko definately played in the 0-0(i remember him being annoyingly good) can't remember about the 5-0 though.
anders svensson definately scored 2 against us in the league cup, not sure if bridge and pahars played however.
what about todorov? was he in the bulgaria squad?

Yeah, I was talking about players in the squad, so Bridge would be good.

I completely forgot about Kolinko and Svensson.

Todorov's not in the Bulgarian squad. I think he's still injured.

Did heskey not play against us for Leicester in the cup a few years back. I am sure Dyer played against us for Ipswich as well

Lampard scored his first league goal at the Goldstone playing on loan for Swansea.

I'd guess someone like Scholes or maybe Gary Neville played in the same Goldstone match as Beckham made his debut in.

Only guessing though. Kolinko definitely played for Palace against us- didn't he have a blinder at Withdean? Think he was the only thing from stopping us avenging the result from Selhurst.

He hasn't ever played against us, that I'm aware of, but Ashley Cole was once sent on loan to Palace for a spell. It's a miracle his career ever recovered.

Astafjevs(Latvia captain) was at Brsitol Rovers but did not play against us when we played them last year.

Was at that game away to Watford. Meade scored when James had a calamity. Watford then brought on a young, small and very talented midfielder who proceeded to run rings around us and threatened to win the game single handed. He didn't but it wasn't the last we saw of him
