We had no trouble progressing from the Group Of Death in the last World Cup - in many ways I would prefer a tough group as we seem to raise our game rather than saunter in like we did in WC 98.

Thats a result for us I think. Rather avoid Spain & Italy than the Czech's and the Swedes.

The teams in Pot 4 are all Pony. How in gods name did they qualify? (And watch us scrape a draw)

Agreed Albion Rob, we always play better against the top teams. Get them out the way in the group stage then beat play Bulgaria in the Final and win on Penalties

we usually play well against Holland (exclude Graham Taylor's team from that) so I wouldn't mind them.

I honestly wouldn't fancy Sweden, they are always a well organised side who we struggle to beat. I'd almost rather have Portugal, then you wouldn't get them in the early knockout stages when it's shit or bust.

Portugal will have all the pressure of being the home team and they have a reputation for choking, so they might not be a bad option. Everyone will be expecting them to impress so England might find themselves underdogs with nothing to lose.

the tougher the group the easier the 1/4 and semi you want france in your group and maybe holland so you get away from playing them in knock out.
