Sussex continue their title challenge with left-arm seamer Jason Lewry back in the side for the first time since last month's match against the same opponents at Arundel.

Lewry takes over from Paul Hutchison, with Billy Taylor continuing to deputise for England Test hero James Kirtley.

Pakistani seamer Mohammad Akram makes his Championship debut for Essex as they seek their first win since early June.

Leg-spinner Zoheb Sharif is included in the 12 after impressing for the second XI, but Paul Grayson is again absent because of knee trouble.

I reckon we should be looking to have 350+ on the board by the end of the day for the loss of no wickets!
