Just watching Football Years on Sky One. It's the 1994/5 season.

Fantastic - that's all I need to say.

fantastic...I cant express my joy at seeing that picture, I used to loathe Cantona when he was at Man Utd and I remember that day clear as a bell....I loved him ever since :D

I was at that game, in the seats in that stand a bit further down near where Cantona actually kicked Richard Shaw to get sent off (two in one evening, what a hero). It was one of those inpromptu evenings that turned into a stormer, the game was sold out but a Man Utd fan at work said if I came down he knew some people with spare tickets, got one in that pub by Norwood Junction at face value, and the rest was glorious history. Shame Palace got a draw.

On NSC for over two decades...
Ah, great stuff!! That happened when I was at college, and I had a newspaper clipping of that picture on my wall. It later inspired me, in an admittedly drunken moment, to have the message "Cantona Is A Brighton Fan" put up on the big screen in Shafts nightclub at the University of Glamorgan!!!

:drink: :lolol: :drink:

At the foot of the downs
Cantona was never the same player after this, and that was a shame, silly palace tosser

If I may quote you, Bozza:

"My pet hate? People who Post giving the impression that they have some news.

eg There may be a new thread with a Heading of "Transfers" or "New Seats". You drill down to a message that simply asks 'any news?' "

I thought the bloke had died when I read the title of the thread
:nono:

You may quote me. But you haven't.

Wozza wrote that.

Apology accepted.

I'd say that rockets into the top 5 NSC putdowns ever. Bozza, Wozza, Fozza, Yozza...it's all getting a bit confusing for the lad.

Apart from the fact it was Palace, I'd be inclined to agree with you. Then it emerged what an unpleasant racist the bloke was, and you realised Cantona deserved a medal. Cantona - great for football, the Premiership has been the poorer without him. No-mark xenophobic Palace fan - got what was coming to him.
