Who would you rather play in the next round?

Germany.

Ecuador are flying high qualifying for the next stage for the first time ever. They are very fit and our team is noticeably unfit.

We raise our game against Germany and they are there for the taking.

Germany look poor at present, let in two against Costa Rica and struggled to beat 10 men Poland. Ecuador are a breath of fresh air. Id rather beat the Germans on their own patch.

Doesn't matter. If you want to win the World Cup you've got to beat the best teams somewhere along the way. If were not good enough to beat the Germans/Paraguay now then we wont be good enough later.

Definitely Ecuador. They've started well but haven't played any real quality. Our players ARE fit enough and I think that'll show today - call it an excuse, but I think they were caught out by the heat against Paraguay.

Germany have hardly set the world alight but the home support will be like a twelfth man.

True, but we don't have to beat them now. Looks like we're going to get Holland in quarters and Brazil in the semis, so I'd rather avoid Germany for now if poss.

Yup:thumbsup:

I know we have looked poor in the two games so far, but Germany have too. I believe we could beat them in their own back yard right now, and to be honest, that would be nearly as good as winning the damn thing.

Germany, because at least if we lose to them it won't be as big an upset. With respect to Ecuador, who have shown they're a decent side, if we lost to them the world press would make a big deal about it and as a supporter with lots of opposition fans around, I'll get a lot of stick for it!

I support both: not much in it but I'd say England have looked a bit worse than Germany so far. Just my HO.
