I noticed when I got in last night there was a programme on about David Beckham. In addition to another programme about David Beckham last week, and the entire England-Leichtenstein and Macedonia games being dominated by discussions about David Beckham, the details of his (second) book being in every newspaper, and daily updates about him, his boring wife and deeply uninteresting children appearing EVERYWHERE.

Is there anywhere I can go to get away from him? I couldn't care less about his family, his mates, where he went to school, what he thinks of Fergie, Sven or the Neville freaks, his latest dress, ear-ring, Ferrari, tattoo, coherent thought, Spanish lesson or full frontal lobotomy.

A talisman of the national team he may be but GOD!!! Do we have to hear about him 7 days a week???

Please, TV producers, newspaper editors, everyone else, can we designate a National Beckham Free Day some time?

I thought that the coke sniffing whore shagger Angus Deaton was supposed to be a Man U fan. Looked more like a hatchet job to me.
Most football fans just want Beckham to do it for England, it's the Hello & OK readers who get in a lather about all the other stuff.
I just want England to do well & Becks is ok by me.
Micky Adams for England manager, he'll show them what passion means, a word Sven doesn't know!

Agreed - if people weren't stupid enough to watch all this P&B crap or talk about, media interest would go away very quickly!

I suggest a few exciting hours of QVC or Bid-up.tv instead :jester:

This will make it even worse, how f***ing sad

From BBC

Beck and forth

A David Beckham-mad family have moved to Spain so they can be closer to their hero.

The Hodges clan, from Truro in Cornwall, are swapping their 'Trafford House' home for a villa in Alicante - enabling them to watch Becks turn out for Real Madrid.

Phil and Derry Hodges were persuaded to make the move by eldest daughter, Jenna, who admits she is obsessed with Beckham and his wife, Victoria.

"I love Becks and I love Posh," she sighed. "When I heard David was going I said 'We have to go as well'.

"I think my destiny is to marry Brooklyn."

Phil, 37,said: "It was Jenna's idea, but we'd thought about it before. When David went it seemed the perfect time for us to follow."

The Hodges are not the only ones pursuing Beckham to sunny Spain.

Manchester United fan Darren Marsden is buying a villa near the England captain after winning £2.2m on the Lotto.

Factory worker Darren, 35, said: "Me and my girlfiend are going to buy a place in Madrid so I can see Beckham at the Bernabeu."

Cant wait for the two part series on how their lives are going :shootself

Didn't see it, but I'm assuming you mean it was a hatchet job on Beckham, rather than ManUre.

In which case, I can understand. By making it clear he didn't want to play for ManUre, he guaranteed that ManUre had to take whatever they could get for him; by making it clear he would only play for Real Madrid, he guaranteed that their offer would be low. Of course Real got a bargain - they should have paid much more, but Beckham ensured they wouldn't have to. ManUre fans should be livid with the tw@t - he fukced them over, good and proper.

absolute rubbish

in our hundrum lives, David Backham shines out light a beacon of excellence. Thank gawd for you Bex

I watched the Real madrid highlights last night and he was just magical.......the only problem is he comes back to England and had to play with Heskey and Bridge!!!!!

Would you prefer him to be the typical football superstar, a drunken wifebeater who prefers to lash his money on coke and booze and fighting in clubs?

I agree Dave. In fact I'd go as far as to say that there aren't enough programmes on him.

....... ok that's probably an exaggeration.

I think he's a great player, and he's not a complete twat like many. I've nothing against him personally, just the pathetic hype which accompanies his every thought, haircut, blink, breath or fart.

And the sad groupies who lick toilet bowls he's used and move to Spain to be closer to him.

He does set himself up sometimes, you have to admit. Like announcing to the press that "it's hard to keep control when someone pulls your ponytail". He deserved a dressing room pasting for admitting that.

I agree, I'm sick of hearing about him and seeing his picture in the paper, although it's his stick insect, face full of mouth wife who really gets up my nose. Since he went to real Madrid they seem to be on TV more than I can remmember. I'm bored with hearing about them, and what about the girls who now "support" Real Madrid because Becks plays for them. Sad!

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
Personally I think the man is an absolute legend, the greatest England captain for 20 years and a rolemodel for up and coming players.
Sadly he is dragged down by that talentless, plastic, cheap slag of a wife who whores his body to just about every money making scam going.
Without him she is nothing, and would be in reality TV oblivion with the rest of her talentless cohorts had he not been stupid enough to marry her.
She has even alienated his family at the expensive of her gold digging lot, the bitc* has no shame.

Dont you also find that every photo in the tabloids of her wearing those ridiculous shades make you want to punch her even harder ?

Why is slag OK without an asterisk but bitch isn't?

Anyway, until fairly recently she was worth more on paper than he was so I think it's a little unfair to accuse her of gold digging. I'd argue that she gave him a kick-start in the glamour stakes and he wouldn't have become so famous without her tabolid bankability of a few years ago.

It's understandable that you don't like her (nor do I) but I don't think it's all her fault. Perhaps you're jealous of her :D

Why the fcuk would I be jealous of her ?
Being a company director takes up enough of my time thanks !
It is plain for all to see that she is a manipulator extrordiniare, you may defend her to the hilt but I just question where it is all going to end ?
