Englands newest star surprised a lot of crystal palace fans when he unexpectedly turned up at the palace roadshow at the whitgift shopping centre in croydon this evening .
The star in question was your favourite player on here mr wilfried zaha , who willingly posed for photos and chated with starstruck fans alongside ian holloway , paddy mac , keith millen and a few others .
Many were amazed that after arriving back in england in the early hours he not only went in to training he made the effort to meet and greet fans at a packed whitgift .
Medics , at one stage , rushed to assist a young fan to seemed to faint in all the excitement and frenzy , which was described by one as the most exciting day seen at the whitgift since the riots .
As the fever mounted his personal minders stepped in to protect him and tried to usher wilf away but he wouldnt budge and stayed to the very end .
