The Diver and Barry. And I want Leighton Baines to play left-back instead of Shorey

Abort, retry, fail
Barry should not lose the shirt and RFP should not even consider anything other than Gerrard and Barry as an option. Lampard has done nothing much in the England shirt of late to warrant waltzing straight back into the team.

Horsham
well that seems to tell a story then: Gerrard/Barry 8 other options 0. I hope Steve Mclaren is online!!

SG & GB please. Always nice to have a (slight) Albion conection to the England team.

Barry has been superb, and until such time as he stops performing he should keep the shirt. Otherwise, every squad player can assume that the 1st XI is a closed shop. If Lampard displaces Barry it will be a travesty, even if he goes on to score a hat-trick.

No one has yet noticed that Gerrard is shit then. Wonder what this weekend's excuse will be.

He isnt shit, he has been poor this season so far, I doubt he is fully fit and at the rate of games he is playing i doubt he will be.
Maybe shit is an exaggeration, but he is vastly overrated.

There's actually an article in the guardian today which pretyy much sums up what I've been saying for a couple of years. Gerrard is best played in an advanced position or wide midfield. i really don't get this clamour for him to play in the centre. When he played on the right in an avcanced position in a 4-5-1 he had a brilliant season and scored 20+ goals. But a couple of mediocre games and everyone is crying for him to be put into the centre. It's stupid. He has pace, power, determination, a good cross and a cracking shot. What he doesn't have is guile, his passing is actually quite average, he doesn't dictate a game. So why is he a central midfielder? And when has he played well there (in a 2 man midfield)?

What England Player isnt overrated apart from Owen?

I find it hard to disagree with you, however the problem remains both he and Gerrard have massive holes in there games.

It's a very good article. I've always thought he'd make a good right-back but he lacks any sort of disciplpine
