In a last-ditch, desperate attempt to inject at least some kind of interest into tonights match against the Ukraine, I have once again succumbed to the evils of internet betting.
You can get odds of 50/1 for England to be leading at half time, but Ukraine to be winning at full time. Now knowing Svens fetish for wholesale changes at half time, replacing players left right and centre, which inevitably leads to a complete breakdown in team pattern and cohesion, I think this is worth a punt. The new FIFA directives means he can only make a maximum of 6 changes, so you can bet yer bottom dollar (as I have just done) that he will indeed make the maximum 6 changes after the senior players have had a 45 minute "workout".
My only concern is whether those senior players can be arsed to take the lead in the first 45, but hey, ya never know.
