Bangladesh recover from 16-4 off of 14 overs to 40-4 off of 21 overs. Should still be a comfortable england win but this is confusing me...

M E Trescothick, V S Solanki, M P Vaughan, (capt), P D Collingwood, A Flintoff, R Clarke, I D Blackwell, C M W Read, (wkt), A F Giles, R L Johnson, J M Anderson.

We are playing 4 all rounders. 4?

Is this our plan for the World Cup? Fair enough Flintoff and Collingwood, they would be my chosen batsmen to fill those places in the line up but Ricki Clarke? Jeeeeesus, he is bollocks. And why play Blackwell AND Giles in the same team? If you're gonna play a spinner then play Blackwell as he is handy with the bat as well.

I really don't understand that side.

Oh yeah, where's Chucker? Are England gonna keep calling him up and leaving him out the side again? Grrrr..

I believe Clarke is only in there to gain experience. And you can't argue with Giles's form on this tour.

No such thing as form against this lot there so bad.

Its like playing against a county reserve side at best.

I think England have got the selection spot on.

Now 80/7.

Good to see Collingwood in an interview yesterday saying that we want to destroy them as that is the only way they will learn. Good boy.

Giles will be key in Sri Lanka so giving him more overs etc against Bangladesh can only help his rythm etc. He has made a couple of technical changes apparently so he needs overs.

If he's only going with 2 pace bowlers, you wouldn't put Kirtley ahead of Johnson and Anderson.

By the way - how many all rounders to Australia play? I think you'l find it will be about 4 as well - only thing is that they get in on merit with at least one of the roles - ie Bevan, Symonds, Martyn etc are good enough to get in on their batting alone so add good bowling support -not sure whether Blackwell and Clarke are good enough at either discipline yet.

Bevan plays as a batsmen is one day cricket.

I thnk i'm just annoyed that Clarke is in the side when the batting goes so far down now and Kirltey could be in there, him and Flintoff finishing off the bowling would be my preferred partnership. It has been said sooo many times that Kirtley is now the best 'at the death' bowler that England have since Gughs departure, i just don't get why he doesn't play.
