The English and Turkish Football Associations have both been charged by Uefa with improper conduct over the half-time fracas in the Euro 2004 qualifier earlier this month.

Television pictures showed a melee involving players from both teams during the interval in Istanbul.

No individual players will be charged but instead the associations will attend a hearing on 30 October.

It is expected that both FAs will be fined - but that their participation in the Euro 2004 finals is not in doubt.

"On the basis of the evidence we have seen and the important official reports, as well as the limited number of other cases, we are looking at some sort of fine," a Uefa spokesman confirmed.

I wonder if the fine is going to be the same amount for both or Turkey get one a fraction of ours.

Whoops! Sorry BB.

I did try have a quick glance through to see if it had already been posted. I guess I must have missed it.

that's ok. Here are my comments anyhow. Mods, please delete my post if that's ok.

Yet they haven't done anything about the missiles, flares and Alpay's behaviour.

I do realise that our players were stupid with what they did, but if UEFA are looking into this, then surely they should look into all the other incidents on the pitch that night.

UEFA do have a habit of singling England out and it bugs me!
