Heard a nice story related by Ken Brown at the Friends of the Albion meeting this morning. He was called during a presentation by his opposite number at Norwich.

"How much?" said the farmer. "We haven't set a price for him as he's not for sale" said Ken.

After the third bid Ken said to him "We've nearly finished a £93million stadium. The chairman paid cash. New training facilities of £15million, likely again to be in cash. Put it this way, you'll have to sell an awful lot of Cookery Books to get him"
