Just wondering if anyone on here is or is training to become an electrician and can point me in the right direction for a decent course. Ideally learn from home with some practical work but definately open to all advice.

how old are you monty?

22, i have got a mortgage to pay so would prefer evening classes or learn from home so i can still carry on working. However, i would def consider full time course/ apprentice if figures worked out (have some money saved to help through).

My son did a 3 year apprenticeship with a local company. 4 days work, one day at college.

Didn't earn much but learned a lot and now is earing decent money.

I can find out more if you like

Thanks cadiz,

Dont go out of your way, but any info would be helpful. How much he earnt, how long before he was qualified and if he knows of any apprentice opportunities at the moment.

Good luck with that, they want to take them on at 16 and 17 so they dont have to pay them any minimum wages when they're training them.
