Albion*boss Chris Hughton has labelled the last eight games of the season as “massive”.
The Seagulls are within sight of Championship safety, eight points clear of the relegation zone, but they will have a big say in who goes up to the Premier League and who goes down.
They still have to play new leaders Watford at the Amex and three more of the promotion contenders, Norwich and Bournemouth at home and Middlesbrough away.
They also still have to travel to fellow strugglers Rotherham and Wigan.
Hughton, right, told The Argus: “I see it as eight massive games. My only concern is where we are in the table and that bottom group but even if you look at the top some of the places are chopping and changing.
“That’s how the league is. It will be eight big games for every team in this division.”
Albion are currently on 42 points but Hughton is unsure whether the traditional target of 50 will be enough and he refuses to rest until his team are mathematically safe.
“When we were nine points clear then you were feeling a little bit more coomfortable but then it went down to seven. Fortunately we've got a good goal difference which helps but we've still got a lot of work to do.”
