I have one.

BUT If you get a Barclaycard Platinum, you can transfer your balance on to it and so long as you spend £15 a month on the card, there is no interest charged on the balance transferred AT ALL...EVER

Of course you have to be earning shed loads to get one:cool:

But there is interest on the £15 a month you have to spend. And if you then pay £15 off straight away this pays off the interest free balance transfer first, leaving you with £15 that interest will be charged on. So the amount accruing interest will get bigger by at least £15 per month. (this is assuming you haven't got the cash to just pay it all off).

I've had one for 2 years now. As a result my Credit Limit is just under £11000.

Still - only a fool would spend that much on a credit card. :jester:

With my accumulated cards I have around £50,000 of available credit, not bad for someone on state benefits is it. (No I don't owe £50,000 but if I wanted to I could spend that much on me cards).

Barclays do a card where the balance transfer is 0% provided you spend £1 per month. (use an online bookie like say skybet.com to pay £1 into every month, then pay it back to yourself of have a bet with it, you may make back the interest on £1 a month every month.)

Getting hold of the application forms is hard though and the best bet is to go up to one of the bods who pester you in shopping centres trying to get you to take out a Barclay Card.

And yes I do have a EGG card, use it too buy me monthly shopping, makes me around £65 every year just from doing the shopping.

I took out one of the above Barclays credit cards where the deal was as Marvin mentioned, 0% balance transfer for life so long as you spend at least £1 a month. I had a letter from Barclays today "inviting" me to take out the very same credit card again. This time, the deal was you had to spend at least £50 a month! Someone else earlier said theirs was a £15 a month minimum spend?!........

Is the "£1 a month" little more than a loss leader until they send you a letter informing you of "changes to your terms and conditions"?.......:glare:
