I want to get away in the next couple of months for a 3/4 day break anywhere in eastern Europe. Any recommendations ?
I`ve done Budapest, Krakow, Prague and Tallinn so do not want to go back to any of them - nice as they were.
Any input on Ljubljana or Bratislava ?
Many thanks in advance NSC.

Ljubljana and Bratislava are both lovely cities. Not quite on the grand scale of a Budapest or a Prague, but more friendly manageable and intimate - they're both small enough to walk around. Probably Ljubljana just edges it for me, but it's a close call.

Brat is ok but old town a bit small. Lub did nothing for me. Sarajevo is fantastic and well worth a visit.

I would recommend where i live, Brno. 40 quid for flights, 80p a beer, good for a few nights and could stay in a really nice hotel for 35 quid a night. My mates that come over like Brno mare than Prague. Also, Bratislava is a day trip away and also Vienna is just over an hr away so you can visit there too.

Brno's nice and not a bad choice if you have mobility

Ljubljana's a nice little city. It also has the benefit of being very close to the Julian Alps- when I was there we took a day trip into the mountains to go white water rafting.

Stanstead and Luton. Or you can fly into Vienna, Prague or Bratislava and get here on the bus.
