If that's your photograph and Dave the Gaffer is happy for you to use a picture of him in your avatar then there's no problem, is there? So you could have used that version in the first place couldn't you? Assuming that DTG was OK about this, of course.

And yes, I expect most of us have "collected" our avatars from all sorts of places so we're all guilty to some extent. But most of our avatars AREN'T of other members of NSC, are they? Or made from copyright photographs "borrowed" from other members of NSC - who could easily have been asked for their permission. But then most people don't need to stir the shit, do they?
