In front of the PC
I am looking to buy a DVD recorder. It does not need to be to flashy all I need it to do is hook up to my Sky+ Box. I do not need 5.1 surround sound or anything like that. Duel layer would be nice but not really needed.

In short all I want to be able to do is record stuff from my Sky+ to DVD to free up the space, then play the DVD's back.

Any suggestions on a reaonably priced one?

Try this Lite-on LVW-5025 DVD Recorder + 80GB HDD

I have the bigger HDD version and it does the lot. I have it connected to my Virgin + and its one button recording between the 2.

Also and its best bit as with most lite-on it plays Divx thus allowing you to put many avi files onto a single dvd.

Films on the net are normally 700k(axxo files) and download as avi. You put up to 5 on one disk----easy :D

I guess you know that a lot of the films on Sky are copy-protected and if you try to record them on to DVD or onto another HDD that it won't let you?? Lots of the older films aren't though :)
