Chris Hughton has named three recognised centre-backs in his side to face Watford – and brought back midfielder Jake Forster-Caskey.
Lewis Dunk returns to the starting XI as the Seagulls host the Championship leaders in an early kick-off at the Amex.
But Gordon Greer and Greg Halford retain their places.
That could mean three at the back with Bruno and Joe Bennett operating as wing-backs in a system operated so successfully by their opponents today in recent seasons.
