Albion's star defender Lewis Dunk will not be going West any time soon.
West Brom are the latest club to be linked with the Seagulls' top-scoring centre-half.
A source close to the player has told The Argus a January bid is unlikely.
The Seagulls are also determined to keep hold of Dunk. He is a central part of their future plans after awarding him a new four-year contract in the summer.
West Brom are contemplating an offer of around £2 million this month for Dunk, according to the Sunday Times.
Premier League rivals West Ham are among the clubs monitoring 23-year-old Dunk's impressive progress.
