Just perusing the season preview, under Brighton:

"A lesson from last season Goalkeeper Ben Roberts could be a liability at this level. He has much to prove if he hopes to stay in the side."

A liability at this level? Seemed to do pretty well last time, and was one of the best keepers in the league last year, shurely shome mishtake?

He only played about 4 games last time. Kuipers has been the better keeper in the friendlies, but I am sure Roberts will get the nod on the back of better distribution.

Surely his ridiculous propensity for rushing out of his box will get punished in this division. He needs to curb that or he will be a liability.

when was the last time he did that?

Harsh. Hard to say how many shots he has cut out by coming off his line but when he gets it wrong it looks awful. Just remember Mark Walton and the number of times he got beaten because he DIDN'T come off his line.

He did kurb the problem of rushing out of goal and then messing it up. Always remember what MM said at the meeting at the Btn Uni Sports and Social Club (or whatever its called) back in April.

He told Roberts in mid January 'when in tight corners, kick the ball into the next County'. Generally he seemed to heed his managers words after that.

Didn't he f*** something up at Cambridge?

There is some sort of myth he is good at distrubution.... I can remember loads of times his quick throws have played us into trouble

He's not fully fit, give him a rest and he'll come back as one of our best players, as he was last season.

Couldn't be anything to do with the fact that some of our outfield players last year couldn't trap a medicine ball for a large part of the season? (apologies to Brian Clough for pinching his lines)

hm ... away at Barnsley, dreadful 'distribution' throw; Danny gets injured trying to save the situation and goes off. After which, natch, we were dreadful. And lost.
