Watched last nights game in the Hogshead in Eastbourne and generally it was great atmosphere.

As they provide a little 'eye candy' i can just about tolerate the girlies in England tops who know feck all about football and barely look up to the screen.

But what did my head in was a bunch of lads who kept chanting anti Scottish and German songs interspersed with 'No Surrender to the IRA'. What bloody revelance did any of that have to last nights game. Have a beer and a laugh with your mates but get behind the team. One wonders whether they were real footy fans as opposed to 'armchair SKY' ones simplu jumping on the bandwagon.

There was agroup of twats in the pub I was in singing "I'd rather be a Paki than a turk" the same group were singing "you're shit and you know you are" but to the wrong tune all together as they didn't even know the tune.

Pisse dme off almost as much as the refs decisions.

especially the ones that hate football all year round, and then suddenly LOVE it when there's a major tournament, and pretend to be really passionate about it

either you like football, or you don't

Way out west
You need a decent brain to make up a good football chant, but half a brain or less will suffice for singing that crap.

I think I have worked out why supporting the Albion means more to me than supporting England.

If I go to a pub and see someone wearing an Albion shirt, I know that person is a genuine fan who almost certainly goes to matches and someone I have something in common with.

If I see someone in an England shirt, that person has probably never been to any game, let alone an England match and is merely some pikey jumping on the bandwagon, much like many of the plastic, glory hunting Premiershite "fans".

I rarely go to England games and could not call myself a regular England supporter, therefore I don't buy shirts etc.

Albion forever!

The one being sung outside the ground on Thursday made me chuckle;

Super Bock,
Superstar,
Gets you more pissed than Stella Artois

Will try and put some jottings of the tournament together, but I am still sulking at present, roll on Poland away....

I do not think so. However I do have one of the Hikers Rest flag, well I do, if and when a copy of the photo's is produced. Also got a cracking one of a sullen faced French supporter at the end of the Greece game, really zoomed in on him and he looked well pissed off.

Hopefully the piccie of the statue of Eusabio (sp), drapped in a BHA St George's cross has come out as well!!!
