@lasvegan is capable of incredible mental gymnastics and whataboutery.

Every unproven allegation against Biden or his family is FACT, and takes on direct equivalence to Trump’s actions in his eyes.

Every actual recorded and publicly available case against Trump is FAKE NEWS, and a WITCH HUNT. Trump is being PERSECUTED.

Let’s be honest, Trump has been searching for mud to throw at Biden for years, and it’s eating him up that he hasn’t found anything with substance that lands on the spot.

Biden has largely ignored the noise, and got on with his job. That’s a measure of the two men in itself. One working with dignity, the other raging and snarling about how he’s going to lock his political opponents up. How very American, the land of the free.

In the meantime some of Trump’s more dubious business practices have been uncovered and investigated, not at Biden’s request, but by state lawmakers, and Trump’s records include proven demonstrable falsehoods (the man incapable of using a tape measure correctly should not be entrusted with leadership of the free world) and yet this isn’t fraud in Trump’s eyes, it’s VICTIMISATION.

The information in the linked to PDF demonstrates that Trump’s case is one of many, many cases that the New York DA’s office are considering, or have considered, undermining Trump’s claim that he’s being singled out for special treatment.

He’s just another defendant, and seemingly one who’s been caught bang to rights based on the evidence presented.
So in summary @lasvegan is a delusional and living in cloud cuckoo land … like Trump but hopefully without the pending criminal prosecutions and FAKE tan!

This is where as a character @lasvegan intrigues me. In some respects he’s quite level-headed (by the standard of Trump supporters)

Rather than accept that his preferred party have gone significantly off the rails, and are defending a charismatic grifter detached from reality, he’s drinking deeply of the Kool Aid and doing a stand up job as a defender of the faith. Intellectually this has to be taking him to some quite dark places as he’s forced to trot out attack lines he can’t fully believe himself and perform mental ju-jitsu to stop the logical disconnects from imploding his brain.

However, it appears that in America the politics is dumbed down to a horribly over-simplistic “support your team” mentality, where it doesn’t matter how wrong or batshit crazy your guy is, they are your guy. All the while that mentality is maintained, America will risk putting fools like Trump in positions of power.

I can understand a Republican wanting a Republican to win, but why aren’t retired Republicans like George Bush endorsing him?
There are Republicans against Trump, however.

He doesn’t write his speeches. Presidents have used speech writers for decades.
When have you ever known Trump to stick to an auto-cue 😂 His violent, paranoid, narcissistic ramblings and his brain-addled faux pas is all off cue. It is these comments that social media and MSN respond to, not anything he says about policy. Trump is probably a nightmare for scriptwriters and his campaign teams 🙂

Lots of words, but it boils down to Trump being a wrong 'un and not being suitable for a role in office. I have seen or heard nothing to cause me to change my view of him.
True - but it’s so much more fun for us to discuss in depth why Trump is such an Orange-coloured baboon’s arse don’t you think? (People could just look at the pictures 🙂)

I had no idea that Trump wears a diaper!
Are you suggesting this is fake news? 😜

You're a lost cause. If you won't change your mind when you hear about Hilary Clinton and Joe Biden's son, then you never will.

Not sure how this is an American problem, and not a more universal one. Certainly a Westminster-style system isn't free from the same phenomenon.

I don't think the two are remotely comparable. No British PM has ever lied even close to as much as Trump, and where they have lied they've been called out and the media has generally accepted the truth. We don't have this 'fake news' nonsense over proven facts here. People who were labour supporters voted for Boris, hopeful he could improve things for them. I imagine most feel let down and will return to Labour, with many people who have been Tory voters joining them at the next election.

Sure you get some people who won't accept reality (my in-laws still support Boris, and believe it was all a witch hunt). But most don't, and the Tory party distanced themselves from Boris because he was a charlatan, whereas the Republicans are going with Trump again despite, well, everything.

I see that Call me Dave has just met up with Trump. One of the Orange Monster’s followers offered him out……

“Lord Cameron has been urging Republicans for some time to approve the aid package, particularly angering Republican congresswoman and Trump loyalist Marjorie Taylor-Greene, who told the foreign secretary to "kiss my ass".” BBC
David Cameron is a Lord??!!!

You f*** a country and they make you a lord?? 😂

f*** me.

Absolutely no proof if this, the republicans have being going after Biden’s son and have come up with nothing other than looking like idiots.

That‘s a lot of money coming into the coffers without providing any services…other than government access.
There’s plenty of proof, you’re just not interested in hearing it.

I know of several people who think Johnson was hard done by and there are factions of the Tory party, even now, who want to ditch Sunak before the electio, to get Boris back. My sister in law, for one.

and why has he not been charged? Perhaps you’d like to list Trumps foreign payments to show us just how fair and equitable you are?

I've got a lot of admiration for people, especially Republicans, publicly saying this. They have nothing to gain while making themselves a target for Trump supporters and for the retribution of Trump himself should he gain power again. Let's hope many others have the same courage.

Thats a clearly compromised committee, using language as "peddled" implies impartiality to my mind. Furthermore some of which the links between Hunter Biden and Rosemont Seneca Thornton being declared as fact may not be fact:

Not half as worried as last time around I was expecting disaster but he just sat on his arse for 4 years which was a lot nicer than say George Bush. Corporate America is a lot more powerful than political America for good and evil and in this case maybe good
