Does playing Bridcutt alongside Kish work?

Both players are absolutely quality. I wish Kishishev were just 5 years younger and I think was instrumental in giving El-Abd the confidence to start playing the ball around at the back earlier in the season. It must be easier when you have a player of Kish's class to cover you. Bridcutt must be given a new contract. I've lost count of how many games where he was the key player.

My issue is whether they work as effectively together. We seemed to get bogged down in the middle against Brentford. Are they too similar? I think Bridcutt to start alongside Dicker and Kish on the bench as an impact player.

It might also mean we get another season out of him which will undoubtedly help our youngsters to learn from in training. It's my opinion that we lost an invaluable asset in Butters by letting him go maybe one or two seasons too early. Elphick and El-Abd would definitely have benefitted from his wisdom.

What does everyone else think?

They played together at Peterborough, which in my opinion is our finest performance of the season. So, yes they can play together. I think on Tuesday the pitch made it more difficult to pass through the middle, combine this with the way Brentford chose to defend (let the CBs have the ball but mark up tight in midfield) made it difficult for all our midfielders.

The only way it could happen is by playing one of them out of position, something that Gus never does.

Er, except he did play both, on Tuesday, and other times this season.
