I have no personal opinion on Leeds fans as I have never really had any dealings with them - apart from running like a big girl across Hove Park about 12 years ago after the 2-2 draw at the Goldstone when Ian Chapman scored that wonder own goal.

So the following comment is not a swipe against all Leeds fans but simply an encounter I had this morning at the Service station at Clackett Lane.

I was having some beakfast about 7.30 this morning on my way to a meeting when I spied 7 or 8 Leeds fans in shirts having breakfast, with a few beers. They were on the table opposite me and were talking about the game tomorrow. I asked them if they were down in Brighton for the weekend>

The reply was 'Yes we are and then we're off to Pompey on Tuesday . ' One of them then informed me that they were meeting up with 40 or 50 other lads and were going to 'Smash the faggotts shitty little town to f***ing pieces. And then move down the coast to do the same in Pompey.

From what they were saying the whole thing is well organised and tonight seems to be the night they are all out in Brighton.

Staying in Worthing apparrently.

Does not soun too good. Mind you if all they do is clump a couple of chavs outside the Event it wo't be too bad.
Do not like to scaremonger but is this weekend going to be a tad feisty??

A guy who works in my office isn't going into town tomorrow night. He worked on the door at the paradox last time they were down and has less than fond memories of their visit.

That would require some output from the local constabulary.
Are the Brighton force known for their ardent professional attention to protecting and serving the local community ? ???

Three were wearing shirts - they are playing Portsmouth in the League cup on Tuesday.

Any other questions??

What did they order for breakfast?

Did they have tea or coffee?

Or were they drinking their beer?

what beer was it?

Were they cans or bottles?

Did they pour their beer into a glass?

Or did they bite the top of the bottle off whilst growling like a bear?

Indestructible - I am not scaremongering if you think I am making it up why not just say I think you are a f***ing liar.

what exactly are you implying by saying that I am scaremongering.

They were dringking cans of beer which I assume they had bought with them I did not really see the 17 year old girl behind the counter coming out to say stop drinking that lads.

I will in future take a camera with me to record any other encounters. I was simply passing on an incident from this morning.

I would rather you did not insinuate that I am lying.

Bothered, this seems to be to regular a story of how Albion fans worry to much about opponents fans on this site...

Fair play to those that say it's probably bollocks but Leeds have twice come down and caused a shit load of itrouble in town. Take everything with a pinch of salt by all means but don't walk around as if everything in the garden is rosy eh?

Not going to disagree with that. I think the city centre tomorrow will have one of those unpleasant atmospheres about it. Loads of OB in combat gear, our lot on the scout and a few Leeds. But there is no real need to post hearsay like this.

Dear dear dear.....

It's always the same whenever a 'big' club or a club with a reputation comes our way. There is always loads of hype and nother EVER comes of it.

If you really want a fight, I'm sure there will be a few Leeds fans that are happy to oblige. If not then you will not see any trouble what so ever.
