Only kidding - we lived in Worthing as teenagers, and it's not that bad.

Having said that, I met my wife when we were aged 14 in Worthing (27 years ago) - so it's got a lot to answer for! :lolol: :lolol:

Thats Bollocks Richie, there are loads of smaller gigs in the Worthing area, but hey, when you have Brighton on the doorstep I suppose its laziness to overlook LOCAL talent to review the big boys.

Why not give local people, local things to read about, rather than stuff that they probably have read in the Argus ?

Im not in charge of the music section so dont blame me. I am a student journalist who is doing a few reviews of local gigs.

What good gigs are coming up in Worthing then?

Because there are no gigs in Worthing to speak of normally.

Showaddywaddy, the Syd Lawrence orchestra, Hermins Hermits, Gary Wilmot, Freddy Boom Boom Canon for starters. God, open your eyes man! This town rocks, yah! ??? :lolol:

My brother is playing a gig in Worthing on Friday. One of the band has dropped out and he's been asked to help out for a Beach Boys tribute popular beat combo that are I believe playing on Friday night, not sure where though.

And Curtis Stiegers for fucks sake.

No, I was thinking of Rithie actually doing some ORIGINAL journalism and reviewing some of the local talent, battle of the bands and that.

I was trying to help you Ritchie cause that way you may spot some talent, then if you have that ability you may progress to bigger and better things, that aint gonna happen if you just churn out the same reviews of bands that were reviewd in the Argus 3 days previous.

Have you missed the Kooks gig AGAIN, Richie. They played the Komedia last night I thnik, that would have been a good review because they will be BIG.

Richie has clearly learnt one of the first rules of journalism, which is where possible let everyone else do the work. Why do you think columnists have their email address on the page - to enjoy lots of vitriol about last week's effort? Err, no. It's an ideas business, they're always welcome. That boy will go far.
