It appears Sven Cocking Ericsson found it funny too as he was shaking hands after the match. Big smile he had, ooh yes.

Its embarrassing. But if it helps towards Svens exit, then perhaps its for the best. This fella has SO had this result coming for so long now. Time and time again we've done just about enough, scraping by, playing crap but saying "ahh well, at least we got the result". Sooner or later you get bitten on the arse. His luck ran out.

We'll qualify by limping to the Finals. Sven will still be in charge. But when it all comes home to roost next summer, he'll be offski with a nice fat cheque, and at least then we can begin picking up the pieces and trying to build a f***ing TEAM from this crop of players.

Put those players that were on the pitch tonight in their correct places and they will win the world cup.

FACT!

Rooney played on the left for part of the game, but who else was out of position? Owen? Gerrard? Lampard? Ferdinand? Wright-Phillips? Beckham?

The only place we'll win the World Cup is in your dreams.

Bollocks! This group of players can win it. Rooney on his own could.

Yes, I suppose they could win it. But they won't.

Rooney is good, but not that good.

Brazil will win the World Cup.

Then Denmark defeat was bad, but didn't matter, we forgot about the Wales game 'cos we won, but tonight was an utter disgrace, the manager will rightly take some stick for this abject performance, because I believe it's his naive tactics that have caused us this pain

as individuals they can, but they CANNOT work as a team at the moment - and that is SO frustrating!

We might stand a chance if Sven played people on form, rather than reputation. Lampard and Gerrard have been consistently garbage together, but know they'll always be picked - Owen was completely unfit last night, in no shape to play international football, yet was put in ahead of a fit, hungry, in-form Defoe. It must be utterly demoralising for the rest of the squad to know that whatever they do, certain names will always be picked ahead of them.
