think we're only 9 points off (i think) we are on a roll but the top teams keep winning to - sturrock leaving plymouth could have sent them in the wrong direction but it seems not. i think if we can get a winning or non losing run going we still can do it - but i'd rather go up as play-off champs than 2nd place

what do u think

WE CAN DO IT - BELIEVE

It's not over till may 8th, it's still mathmatically possible yes, but will be a tall order, we've only got to play bristol city out of the teams above us, but i imagine that there will be some games between the top teams where they going to lose some points, it can be done, but deepdown i feel we go up (via cardiff)

Yep so that 9 point gap could easily become 12. We have to win four more games than them in our last nine games.

It's not gonna happen is it.

Shut it you WING-SPAN. I have to be one of the most optimistic poster around! We have no chance of getting auto-promotion!

I think we will win most of our remaining matches, but so will the main play-off contenders, so NO.

However, on the bright side, as we don't have a pot to piss in at the moment we desperately need the cash we'd generate from the play-offs and especially a Play-Off Final at Cardiff with all the extra merchandise sales etc.

So going up via the play-offs is the best way - if we can pull it off.

It would be great if we could sneak into 2nd spot as we would avoid the lottery of the playoffs.

However, we need to win at least 8 of our last 10 games (including beating Bristol City away - would HAVE to win this). Looking at it this way it's a very tall order.

beat bristol away. bristol, plymouth, qpr and swindon all have to play eachother yet. so it is definatley possible.

I would assume that Plymouth's seven point lead means that they will end up as champions, almost certainly with at least 90 points. With nine more games to play, they need just 14 more points to achieve that.

Realistically, we have to expect that the team finishing second will end up with at least 86 points (and probably 88).

QPR will get 86 points if they win five more games, draw two and lose three.

Bristol City will get 86 points if they win five, draw three and lose two.

Albion will need to win all nine games to get 87 points. Draw just one game and the best we can achieve is 85.

Which won't be enough.

On the other hand, we might scrape into the play-offs with just 72 points. That would be hairy, though. We could lose five more games and still get to Cardiff.

Anything is possible, but I think most likely the play offs and if we win them, what a day that's going to be.:clap2: :drink:
