It doesn't seem fair that some teams should be without their best players for up to a month. With all the foreign players we are lining up it could even affect us. Don't you think the olympics should go back to their original ideals and invite amateur players only, or am I being naive again.???

no - its out of place. Who cares who wins it?
The olympics is a waste of time now anyway - they include as many sports as they can, just to line their pockets.

I might be wrong but I don't think FIFA enforce clubs to release players, since it is an AMATURE event like all the olympics.

It stopped being amateur a long time ago.

here's a bit of controversey: dont rely on foreign players.

Your only suggesting its a problem as we've got a Congolese international.

Does anyone give a toss about the Olympic champions in football ? I couldn't even tell you who the current holders are.
