Do we deserve 2 England Internationals?

So we had 2 of our team in the England Under 21 squad,
does this mean:

a - our youngsters are that good, they are chosen on merit as they are the best youngsters in the country or

b - the amount of foreigners in the Premiership are pushing out the talented youngsters and they are wasted in reserve team football, meaning that players in the championship playing regular football get a look over more talented players not playing in the premiership.

Although i think its great to see 2 albion lads in the england set up, and im proud that they are. I still get the feeling they are not in the best 18 English Under 21 players that are available.

Hinshlewood has been good, but done nothing outstanding, a hard working, solid player.

Harding had a good end to last season, and had an ok start to this, but he has been at fault for some of the goals we have conceeded, and tends to give the ball away more than others.

I know that some of the under 21's have bee fastracked to the first team ie Rooney, Defoe, Jenas so it leaves spaces open in the under 21 squad.

If you look at the teams in the premiership, some teams ie Arsenal, Chelsea, Bolton can field teams without anyBritish based players.

Why risk blooding youngsters with so much at stake, when you can buy in an older French guy, thats probably as good as your youngster.

Bentley is an obvious one, he is a star, but will he get in at Arsenal? You got Ljungberg, Pires, Reyes, Van Persie, Fabregas, so will he get in infront of them. He is a waste at Norwich

The fact that we had more in the squad than arsenal and man u, highlights my case. Talented youngsters are gettin gpushed out in favour of foreigners.

It doest make the future of england teams look all that good

whats everyone else think?

Could well be a bit of A & B.

Our youth set up has recovered beyond what we could ever have hoped for when the three scum bastards controlled our club. There is also an alarming influx of overseas players in our game-out of all proportion to English players abroad.

The Premiershite was supposedly set up to benefiit the England team when it is now plainly obvious that it was created as a money making machine. And what has England achieved since the FA in its infinite wisdom took control of the top division? Sweet FA was never more appropriate to sum them up!

If we have 2 under 21 Internationals then I say our future is still quite bright because there will come a time when the money runs out and the foreigners all run home-leaving clubs like ours with homegrown talent that will see us alright.

THEN we'll get fair prices for our players and the 'Biig Clubs' can pay through their collective noses for 'em.

When have England had more than 1 or 2 World Class players in the team at any one time? 1966 maybe but since then we've been making up the numbers as one of the top 15 but never one of the top 4.

From what I've seen of the under 21's over the last 10 years one or two make it and the others slide back into obscurity. Time will tell with Hinsch and Harding but I'm thrilled that the Albion youth system has produced such players, with more to follow no doubt.

How long we can hold onto them is another matter as we do our best to become the 21st century Crewe Alexandra (until Falmer is built):(
