Our 4 loan signings have all stated in the argus that they are just here to get fit play games and hopefully go back to there parent clubs and play at a higher level...so they basically have no intention of signing permantley or on a long term loan basis for us..from yesterdays game i got the distinct impression that they actually really do not give a sh*t about our club...thornton when he came on looked full of self interest getting the ball and trying to shot from 40yrds whilst he could of passed the ball on to someone in a better position...Richards is a bottle job when it comes to 50-50 challenges...Savage could do a job if he wanted to...Ayinsah looks lively but has the first touch of a mule...what imtrying to get to is, is there anypoint in having any of these players on short term loan with no prospect of them signing either a long term loan or permently...also with richards how many times have we extended his loans if he wanted to be here permantly he would have signed allready......Play virgs at centreback el ab in midfield and give jake a start up front with Murray whilst Forster recovers

They will not attract a bigger club if they look like they don't care!!

Attitude to a club helping them with their fitness recovery etc will count for a lot to a manager.

I got the impression that when "Jack the lad" was interviewing Savage after the game,( following a question as to whether he would extend his months loan) that Brighton was a long way to travel from Manchester. He certainly didn,t give the impression that he was enjoying it here.

Fair enough, he's hardly set the world alight but he's clearly still got quality and could achieve more surrounded by a better team. Adams sold it to him to come here, be a bit of a hero and get fit again. Did he come here to cop a load of abuse from home fans at a crap ground? I'm surprised he hasn't left already.

I dont think its anything to do with abuse from fans................if he has heard any abuse..........he thrives on that sort of thing.

I would think it has more to do with playing three of his four games at an athletics ground...........and having someone like Thomson alongside of him, who 9 times out 10, when he has the ball, passes BACK to a central defender........(this after he has run circles around his ankles).

The times I see Savage get animated on the pitch with his team-mates is when he is berrating them to get forward.

You're right about Richards he always bottles 50 50s which really annoys me. I thought on Saturday Savage showed he did really want it towards the end.

why should they give a toss when they get dropped for a lumbering centre back to play in their position??

what is the point of coming here to sit on the bench??

Bang on. Both Thornton and Anyinsah have bben left out of recent games to accomodate Virgs up front / right wing.

I'd be inclined to tell Adams to stick it, and get away as soon as possible. These guys can sit on the bench at their own clubs and draw their wage - they've come here to get games.

Not only does it lessen our chances of extending loans, but other managers will wonder whether there is any point lending us their players in future.

I can't really comment on anything at the moement because I am so fed up but don't want my heart to rule my head. The things I think are as follows:

1) Players are bought in on loan because they improve the squad.
2) If these players are sittiing on the bench they are not improving the squad.
3) Further, they are unlikely to extend their loan if they don't get games with us.
4) When you have short-term loans in a team its bound to upset the balance of the side. They don't have the understanding of the rest of the team.. they don't play together week in and week out and their vested interests are not the same. Too many short-term loan players in a team is asking for trouble.
5) 12 points in October and and 0 points in November because the remaining players after the loanees have gone back have forgottyen how to play together and we have to rebuild the team again is the same as 6 points in October, 6 points in November. Loanees are only as short-term solution at best and could make problems for the long-term. Especially when you are packing your squad with them.
6) If short term loaneees are brought ın as an answer to our creativity problem.. why is it we are playing a game at home with no creativity on the field and the creative loanee on the bench?
7) What lesson did we learn from the Man City game.... seems to me that players with hunger who are not in the first team are a better option than loaneees and players out of position.

IMH I'd rather we stand and fall without loanees of less than 3 months.
I ma no demenading Adams get sacked because ı don't know the hwole story but this is the worst I've felt about the SEagulls since pre-Adams the first coming.
