i think that the children of divorce would be less likely to divorce themselves, because they are the most acutely aware of the pain it causes.

...and especially after such an uncommonly tragic set of circumstances as Charles and Diana has proved.

Betting on divorve half an hour after they're married is why. Maybe distasteful is more appropriate. This is only my personal opinion.

Firstly the public DO NOT detest Prince Charles.
