Apart from Alpay & Tugay, I thought the Turkish players played fair and showed good sportsmanship.

When Beckham missed the pen it was good to see Rustu console Beckham and at the same time tell Alpay to f*** off.

Did you not see Hakan Sukur's dive, him elbowing John Terry, their No7 elbowing Beckham or the keeper kung-fu kicking Dyer then? So yes, I agree with brighton rock.

Oops I forgot about that. Must be because I'm still a bit pissed.

Yup, the Turks were all cheats, and Nicky Butt's chest high challenge was simply a case of getting in the revenge early before Rustu made a similar woeful assault on Dyer. Our timewasting was fragrant, unlike the horrible stuff that Johnny Foreigner does

I hope someone lets the tyres down on Alpay's caravan next time he parks it in England.

I was in Turkey when Man U played Galatasary 9 years ago.

I nearly got a kick-in just for making a quip about Galatasary getting tonked - The Turks went beserk!

I'm never going back there again.

Can't see Alpay being very popular from now on.

It was interesting that Alpay the least talented member of the team was the one giving it large. I wouldn't want to be in David O'leary's shoes as his manager when he gets back to Villa. How can play him after his shameful performance on saturday night.

I thought Turkey were really disappointing, they tried to win the game through intimidation (the crowd), bullying(Alpay) and cheating (Suker) and forgot to use their football skill. It was a great disciplined performance from England, and as the better team we deserved to go through.

Spot on row Z.
Even the Villa fans hate Alpie, what a tosser.
BB," cheats" was the most common chant in our pub too.
We did the job, and did it well.

Alpay's had it in this country. You can just about get away with being a hate figure at every other ground (eg Roy Keane) if your own fans think you're the Messiah, kinda compensates for it. But Villa fans were already booing him for various stupid outbursts even before this, which even for them must be the final straw. He'll be playing in Istanbul before Christmas, I reckon.
