It was interesting that Alpay the least talented member of the team was the one giving it large. I wouldn't want to be in David O'leary's shoes as his manager when he gets back to Villa. How can play him after his shameful performance on saturday night.

I thought Turkey were really disappointing, they tried to win the game through intimidation (the crowd), bullying(Alpay) and cheating (Suker) and forgot to use their football skill. It was a great disciplined performance from England, and as the better team we deserved to go through.

Alpay's had it in this country. You can just about get away with being a hate figure at every other ground (eg Roy Keane) if your own fans think you're the Messiah, kinda compensates for it. But Villa fans were already booing him for various stupid outbursts even before this, which even for them must be the final straw. He'll be playing in Istanbul before Christmas, I reckon.
