My wife in all her wisdom booked this weekend away visiting her friends, without checking the fixtures (how many times do wifes do that, so annoying) anyway after calming down I gave in and agreed to go as I have only missed one home game this season and with play offs hopefully coming, I would at least have one more game added. (I also play cricket in summer, so dont get many spare ones!)

I gave my ticket away to my mate who is now going with the guy I go with, they have organised a weekend in Brighton, (mate lives in Brighton), wifes are going shopping, blokes to footie and beer, and well up for it.

Dilemma is the weekend away has been cancelled and I can now go, but dont want to let my mate down who has never been and his weekend is all planned, he already has my ticket and has paid me!!

What do I do, tell him tough titties and heres you money back or just listen to it on the radio, I have tried the tickets page and no joy, tried some other friends that are ST holders, but nothing.........

Ideally someone on here is not going and would offer...but with it being such a big game, i doubt thats going to happen.....

the correct thing to do is to let your mate go and not be a f***ing arsehole...

you've technically sold the ticket, he's probably really looking forward to it as well. Same thing happened to me earlier in the season. take it on the chin and move on to the next home game.

Keep an eye on the NSC ticket exchange - from my experience they'll be tickets on offer on Thursday and Friday as some people realise they are double booked, suddenly have to work etc.

I don't actually see a dilemma. You've sold your ticket to your mate, therefore for this game it's his ticket. Just stay at home and listen to it on the radio.

i know and thats what i will end up doing, i just hate missing football............im gutted now and its only Tuesday, by Saturday i am going to be a right miserable fcuker!!

Am I missing something?

Can't you run up a massive credit card debt & overdraft.
Report your wallet stolen and identity theft to the police.
Mention your ST has gone and the perp might have the front to go to the game.

You get to the game.
Your mate gets 3-5 years.
Giving you plenty of time to 'patio' your wife, and move in on one that sounds a lot more considerate.

O.k first blame your wife (banter not anything to bad) just enough to make her feel bad.

Then explain that she can make up for it by making play off dates free and maybe she could taxi you in.

And then if she feels really bad.......... do as you wish.......man........ you hold the keys mate.

Whatever you do, make sure she knows your having a bad day and she is to blame, you could dine out on it for ages

the worry with your message is that you appear to have thought about it!!!

More worryingly it only took about 30 secs, of planning.
