Worthing
I first went in 67 and in those days dreamed we would one day get to Division 1….
With only 3 years in those seasons spent in the 2nd tier we did it.
Madness all this.
Ps I saw us play Gibraltar though
I’m thinking like this because I’m thinking on this ticket malarkey

I think that this was my first game, went with my Uncle, 1:1 Dave Turner, crowd 35,000. Never, ever, dreamed we’d get in the top flight, just happy when we won games
.

I wouldn’t swap anything over the years - well apart from the gory bit but this is all a little surreal

My first ever visit to the Goldstone, the Gibralter friendly ,I think 6.0, Dawson with 4 , but may be wrong, it was a long time ago

Took my daughter to her first match at Withdean. I’m reckoning it must have been 2009 or 2010. Evening match versus Notts County. What a ride that girl’s had. She can scarcely believe my tales of “the war years”.

Took her to see Pulp twice in the last month too. Equally wonderful. She loved every minute. Nothing to do with the football. Just another one of those glorious little marker points as you fashion that chip off the old block.

No. I didn’t imagine any of this for a second. It’s joyous.
