After the game yesterday went to a Derby pub and met three old time Derby fans from the Clough era, they were very complimentry about our performance and think we will stay up this year no problem. They said our defence was rock solid and we passed the ball as well as any team!! They could'nt believe the amount of fans we took and were really interested in when we'll get Falmer, they told me Brighton should be a big club with the right stadium. Yet again we did ourselves proud.:clap2:

1st game of the season mate, don't get carried away...only a week and a half ago we were panicking after losing 4-1 to Oxford.

Here we go,someone's trying to turn this into a doom and gloom thread.

Who knows what we are going to do this season, its too early to make a judgment off the back off one performance.

Lets just enjoy the point and look forward to the next game.

Not me mate, I don't get carried away with pre-season only when the real stuff begins. Lets not forget Derby were very close to going up last year and totally outplayed us last season. I agree its early days but we looked a proper Championship side for once, hardly gave the ball away and did'nt panic.

rubbish. we played very well, but lets not get carried away with yesterday.

likewise when/if we get thumped by another team we shouldn't get carried away with that either.

the Rams fans i spoke to after the game thought we defended well and looked dangerous on the breake. They were not impressed with the new managers tactics and the lack of attacking options and shos on goal from their boys. They don't seem to get the ball up front as quick as last season so they said.

What impressed me most of all was their realism that they will be play offs if lucky and are happy with that. Their "premiership is for yuppies" approach was refreshing. One was straight out of the St Lennard book of not going to Premiership if we get there. I think the goings on at Forest have had a sobering effect on the Derby fans. Nice bunch though.
