First hungarian club in the Champions League for 15 years. What a joy.

Fuckin Pool, Lyon and Fiorentina is coming to Budapest.

Isn't Debrecen about 150km from Budapest? (I stopped at Debrecen station once)

Great achievement though.

Fantastic news Gyurbia, another member of the Champions League football family. I hope you enjoy it as all of the rest of us do, I have no doubt you will.

I think Debrecen will not enjoy that huge losses :) But the money is alright, its huge amount for a poor Hungarian club.

Yeah cos we're part of the Champions League family aren't we? :shootself:

In fact it's that very competition that's entirely put paid to the chances of clubs like ourselves ever being able to consistently compete for honours, and that's very sad.

Having said all that, as a fully paid-up follower of the 'EPL' you probably don't care do you?

It is really sad, that the economic benefits of this competition kills the chances of lower league clubs in Western-Europe. But in 10-20 years there will be the European Superleague, now that will be the point from where I wont watch football anymore.
