Christian Bucchi: “I’m a friend of Roberto, we played together in Naples. I stayed with him in Brighton for a week and watched how he works. He feels great in that environment, as I’ve seen him, I think he holds on to that experience and he won’t leave Brighton because next year he can complete the splendid work he’s carrying out,”

Unfortunately we all have to concede that he is destined for greater things, but in the menatime lets enjoy it as he takes us as far as possible in his time here.

Classic Albion related gossip, but it must be BS by now, but back in September we were apparently paying him less than we were Potter!

Good, so we should have been. Potter had some success and got a new contract, the new guy shouldn't come in on more than that.

Next season is a given.

This is the more worrying quote ....

CL qualification and/or silverware. I’m in. Also wouldn’t over-analyse quotes from someone not speaking in their native language or that have been translated - definitely not to the point of worrying about it.

Hopefully, he'll be able to progress with us in the medium term. We're never going to challenge for the title etc. but where it made a lot of sense for Potter to "move up" to Chelsea on paper (immediate access to a bigger squad in the UCL), it makes less for RDZ currently - he has turned us into a team that could push for top four if the stars aligned.

Saying that though, I think RDZ is moving in a trajectory where he'd be on the lists of the big, stable, clubs if there was any high-profile movements next summer (City, Liverpool, Bayern, PSG, etc.).

So much better than Potter that he only needs a two year plan, hopefully not cut short 6 games into next season

I am just going to enjoy whatever time he has left here, we are Brighton I don't expect a steady trajectory, we are a roller coaster of a club.

Like he considers Caicedo and Alexis as being too good for us I am sure he thinks the same about himself.

I would think our trajectory post Sami has been very steady…….PB and TB have taken the roller-coaster element away, at least for now.

I am hopeful we will get another season out of him (but then again I thought the same for Potter…) but I think any longer would be a real surprise, his stock will be sky high this time in 2024.

Whatever happens to RDZ it's clear, with Bloom and Barber at the helm, that we are now the destination club for up and coming talent, we my need to recruit two or three RDZ's along the way but the future is bright

You never know what people's motivations are. If it's purely money, he won't be here long. If it's to apply his philosophy in a patient, supporting environment, he could stay a while. All the time we're backing him and we're winning, it's a dream match.
See as we originally saw him wear a coat you could by in sports direct for £39, I get the feeling he is not motivated but money. ;)
