If this is true, then he's shafted us massively. Deserves an Oscar for that performance at FT on Sunday.

Think he learnt a lot from Mac Allister on the last day of last season. Look sad youre leaving, cry a bit, fans will completely overlook that you manouevured your way out of the club and clap every time your return.

I don’t give a shit if he goes to Chelsea but if was tapped up during the season and emboldened to behave like he did it because of it it makes a mockery of his luvvie dovie bye bye last weekend.

I hope I have got this very wrong because if I haven’t it’ll make him.. well you decide.

I’d find it very strange for the club to be so calm about it if he was tapped up though.
To much conspiracy theory stuff on this thread for me… (sorry).

I believe both Barber and RdZ who said it was amicable.

Wow. That is completely unfounded, especially for Mac Allister who has been nothing but respectful to our club. There are a lot of people losing their shit on this thread who should know better.

How on earth do people with these attitudes navigate through life which is full of potentiality and Schrodinger's cat instances? Unless a person can observe exactly what is going on the potential remains, but there are some huge leaps going on here.

Lots of people judging Potter by his shortcomings when he was here last.
That is understandable but a lot has happened since then , for him and the club.
He is an intelligent guy and will probably come back a different manager.
And he will be refreshed.
It would be a strong choice imo. Although hopefully we will find somewhere even better.
I don’t think he’s that intelligent, degree or no degree…

Some of his comments and actions did not portray ‘emotional intelligence’ or whatever it was…..

Football wise, he is a good coach, and for those saying 9th and first two seasons, the point you’re missing is that he turned around an entire playing style which is not easy and you can understand why it did take two seasons. Plus he still had some of the rubbish Hughton had been given Locadia and AJ…

RdZ took us a stage further, but in the end was beginning to get found out (IMO).

Hopefully, we find another great coach. I guess we just have to trust Bloom and PBOBE….. and let’s face they’re pretty good 😃

I often wonder this about a lot of football fans. It’s like the way as soon as a team goes through a rough patch, lots of them immediately demand the manager’s sacking. I often wonder what their reaction would be if after a ropey couple of months at work their boss just made them unemployed.

I find the weird knee-jerk, weird, rash judgements to things going on at clubs that they actually have very little knowledge about what is actually happening really strange. Because they can’t be like this in their personal lives or they’d never get anywhwere.

Still catching up - That said, Chelsea should just set up a joint bank account with us at this rate.

Edit: Caught up - It seems a lot of people will be angry if RDZ joins Chelsea and while Chelsea are a massive yuck for me personally, I don't think this is even in the same ball park as Potter. RDZ has essentially already gone, with our blessing and is free to take whatever job he wants, no matter how distasteful. He certainly won't be taking the house, car and all the kids with him. Potter left us with not a lot, he was so much more odious in the way he left. Not even comparable.

Whilst catching up, pay attention to post 304.

Ornsteins post doesn't mention RDZ at all which is strange.
Hopefully he's on good form and correct, leaving RDZ out. Orstein is often fairly accurate. While i've said what I've said, I'd much prefer RDZ go back to Italy and take a neutral job. Give everyone some time to move on and settle. After that, he can take any job he wants (Except Palace).

Okay thank you, so he will be factual then.
The Athletic, not The Guardian. Probably the most reliable journalist there is on this type of story as he seems to only deal in facts. Covering himself though with ‘known options’, suggesting he believes there may be others but hasn’t been able to get it confirmed.
