Former England midfielder Darren Anderton has agreed to sign for Bournemouth on a pay-as-you-play deal, report BBC Radio Solent.
The 34-year-old will put pen to paper on the pitch before the Cherries' home fixture against Crewe on Saturday.
Having been a free agent since leaving Wolves in the summer, he is able to move outside the transfer window.
"Bournemouth play good football, and I don't feel like I'm too big to play at that level," he told the Daily Echo.
Southampton-born Anderton won 30 caps for his country, and has made over 400 league appearances for Portsmouth, Tottenham, Birmingham and Wolves.
