Just got back from a cracking local derby, Ashton Utd v Droylsden in the Conference North. Coldest game I've been at in a long time.
Playing as the big target man for big spending Droylsden is David Cameron, featured in the programme as the 'former Brighton & St Mirren star'.
He played ok actually, maybe he has found his level. Held the ball up well and had a better first touch on a tricky pitch than I saw from the likes of Benjamin last year. Missed a sitter and put a good header against the post. Very vocal to his own players and the ref - the Droylsden fans weren't too happy with that!
He has scored 6 times this season.
By the way...if you are still with me, Ashton won 1.0 to pull away from the bottom, first win in 11 games, crowd of around 450.

It would be interesting to know what ex Albion players are playing in a REALLY low standard of football or in some obscure place. I remember Mark Farrington playing for Vauxhall Motors some years back! Doesn't John Crumplin play for Pease Pottage or somebody like that in Sussex league two?

Sounds promising, maybe he's worth a shot?

High up on the South Downs.
Thanks Oldham Gull. Was thinking of singing Silky Mark McCammon the other day
I'd rather read your comments than hear about Abbi Titmus's tits but I suppose that is part of being a moaning old git.
