Cut England teams wages now!!

Because they earn so much money and think that everyone owes them a bloody living, does anyone agree with me that best medicine to cure the current slip in form is to cut their wages for international matches by at least 50%.

Even if they did get paid for their England appearances-when you get paid 50k, 60k, 70k or more per week anyway cutting their England pay by 50% would'nt bother them.

Just a bunch of over-hyped, over-paid prima donnas. Give me The Albion any day. The England team are perennial under-achievers who aren't anywhere near as good as they'd have us believe they are. I can't get enthused by England anymore-they ALWAYS let us down one way or another.

Another interesting thing is that Sir Clive Woodward (sp?) got 250k a year for coaching the England team and won a world cup, whereas Sven gets 4millions pounds a year for the football, and has won nowt!

If we had a manager who had a bit of passion, showed an understanding of the point of substitutes, had the balls to drop underperforming superstars and had the nouse to be able to change the tactics during a game and didn't try and sit on leads against better sides, maybe the players would respond.

This post is a fantastic example of the levels of intelligence people display when talking about the England team.

We'll qualify easy, Sven is bloody good in qualifying for major tournaments. That's a fact that his critics can't deny.

you should represent your country for free, if you don't want to (and judging by performances on Saturday a fair few of them obviously arent that bothered) then you shouldnt be available for inclusion

for my tuppence worth, Beckham, Owen, and James should all be dropped, James permanently after conceding that second goal ! Dave the gaffer would have got down quicker to that (gravity )
