Curry houses in worthing

I'm heading home to England for the first time in 3 years next month and one of the things I'm most looking forward to is a good ruby. Can anyone update me on the best place in or around Worthing? I used to be a big fan of both Shafiques and the Mahaan but time moves on so is there a new kid on the block or are the old tried and tested still the places to go?

The Royal Jaipur on the Brighton Road by Steyne Gardens is always excellent and I've heard that the recently opened Zaman in Warwick Street is also very good - will be trying it soon!

The Mahaan is still the number one! Personally I travel 40 mins each way to collect, and when I do I buy about ten mains and freeze them so I always have a quality curry to hand.

Funny, cos I always used the Mahaan for years but found that actually there are as good if not better alternatives around now. The bar seems to have been raised in Worthing if you like a quality curry. Have you actually tried the others like the Jaipur or Zaman?

Back in my Worthing days it was always the Mahaan. I felt they struggled with service when they expanded next door, but the food was always consistently good.

The guy who used to run the Mahaan opened a new Indian restaurant in Findon didn't he? I can't recall the name either, maybe Anaz? I've heard a lot of good things about the Findon place, but someone else will have to tell you the name and exact location of it

For takeaways, I used Royal Spice a lot, and imo their curries were much better than Mahaan or Curryland. Since I've been in Redhill, I haven't yet found an Indian as good as Royal Spice!
